The first "material selection" involves choosing the appropriate silicone rubber material based on the product's usage environment and quality requirements. For instance, considering the product's requirements such as wear resistance, oil resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance, resistance to high and low temperatures, tensile strength, etc., this helps determine which material is more suitable for use.
The second "refining" In many cases, the raw materials we purchase are still raw rubber and cannot be directly used for production. They need to undergo secondary processing, which we call refining. Refining involves adding certain additives such as accelerators and color pigments to the raw rubber in specific proportions to meet the production requirements.
After the third "cutting" process, a continuous piece of material is obtained. Next, based on the product structure and size, this continuous piece of material needs to be cut into the final materials of the required weight, shape and size that we need.
The fourth "forming" step follows the completion of the above tasks. The most crucial step is forming. We need to place the cut materials from the previous step into a silicone rubber mold and apply heat pressure molding according to the pre-set process parameters. This will eventually result in the desired external dimensions. Of course, there is also a method where the material is directly injected into the mold cavity through an injection molding machine to obtain the required product. This method is similar to the principle of an injection pump.
After the "processing/inspection" step, a complete piece of product is obtained. We then need to separate the specific product part from the middle, remove the burrs on the product surface, and inspect the product appearance. At this point, the entire process of a qualified silicone rubber product has been completed.
